True love is the basis of true generosity since we cannot give our time nor our material or spiritual resources without the desire to love the recipient. Jesus even gave his own life, to show how much He loved us. And the gospel of John says how God loved the world the most by giving us His only begotten Son. If we share what we have in order to receive Love then we are deceived because we will not get what we desire.
